Artwork Care.
With the right care, your fine art prints and canvases will remain vibrant and beautiful for generations. Follow these simple guidelines to protect your investment.
Fine Art Paper Prints & Framed Art
Sunlight & Lighting: All our paper prints are produced with archival pigment inks designed to resist fading. However, to maximize longevity, avoid hanging artwork in direct, intense sunlight.
Cleaning Acrylic Glazing (Plexiglass): Clean framed prints using a soft, non-abrasive microfiber cloth. Never use ammonia-based window cleaners (like Windex) or harsh solvents on acrylic glazing, as they can scratch or dull the surface. Use a light acrylic-safe cleaner or a slightly damp microfiber cloth.
Humidity Control: Display artwork in environments with stable humidity (40–60% RH is ideal). Avoid hanging unframed paper prints in high-humidity areas like steam-heavy bathrooms or directly above stoves.
Handling Unframed Prints: Always handle unframed paper prints by the edges using clean, dry hands. Oils from skin can transfer onto fine art paper surfaces over time.
Canvas Art Prints
Dusting: Clean stretched canvas prints periodically using a dry, soft, lint-free microfiber cloth or feather duster.
Moisture & Cleaning: Never spray liquid cleaners or water directly onto the canvas. If needed, gently wipe the surface with a barely damp cloth and let it dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
Solid Wood Frames: Wipe real wood frames (floater frames or traditional mouldings) with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemical polishes.
Storage
If you need to store unframed paper prints prior to framing, keep them flat between acid-free boards or rolled loosely in acid-free tissue paper inside a rigid tube. Store in a cool, dry place away from temperature fluctuations. Never fold or crease paper prints.
